Yet Another Photography Blog...Take 2.

Pictures and Stuff, usually By Me.

Well, it’s almost over.

4 years of College/University all but ends tomorrow with the hand in of the “Time in a Place” project.
These are the final 10 images which will make up the series.

It’s been a hell of a trip over the past 4 years, there have been tears, anguish and most of all some extremely good people.

Tomorrow will be about beers, nostalgia and friends.

Still mucking about with the “moving” version of the Time In A Place project.

10 Minutes of Protest the “moving” version.

I had initially recorded sound while shooting the stills during some of the Time in a Place images, but sadly the sound quality sucks, so have some Gogol Bordello instead.

Some older images which i shot for a project dealing with out obsession, and our reliance on technology and how it affects the day to day world we live in.

An Hour on a Lazy Sunday Afternoon.
Sometimes the beauty of being a photographer is that it gives you a reason to just sit and watch the world go by.
Yesterday i decided to just sit in a lovely area of Kelvingrove and enjoy what passes for a nice spring day in Glasgow. Listening to the river flow behind me and listening to the birds sing in the trees was a relaxing experience in comparison to the usual headless chicken act I’ve been doing lately.
There’s no even time in this one, just ten images shot at random over the space of 1 hour. Why be rigorous when you’re chilling out eh?

A Morning With Some Protesters.

A couple of quick edits from today’s anti-Trident demo in Glasgow this morning.

It was an interesting event, with lots of enthusiasm stemming from the large proportion of people involved who had brought their young families along.

I firmly believe that, no matter where your politics lie, that educating and involving kids from a young age can only serve to give them a better hope in the future.

An Hour For Lunch
I’m enjoying this series again, this week should see a good solid influx of these images as i shoot and re-shoot in preparation for print etc.

Another Half Hour At The Seafront
The second of the images from Largs, and probably the more succesful of the two…well, at least I managed to keep my tripod still for the duration, that’s better, right?
Similar in tone, for obvious reasons, the characters are all there.
I especially find the couple feeding their young child chips, when it hardly looks old enough to be eating solid food let alone fried food a horrible combination of scary and comedic.
